A Whole New 2007 (pick song:" A NEW DAY HAS COME" by Celine Dion)

2007 will be a wonderful year for our family as we will be back together again with hopefully a better life. My husband is back working for the Sheikh Bakr in between Jeddah and Egypt. We have a choice to choose to live in Jeddah in an expat Compound or Egypt, Cairo. The kids will be going to the American International School there.
I am excited to see the culture in the Middle East. Somehow women are not allowed to drive in Jeddah and that is not easy for me to adapt probably and most of the families have driver. Alcohol is also prohibited there. Maybe for once my lungs and kidney can have their holiday.

It is the best gift ever I had for my birthday. I turn 35 today. Not getting any younger but wiser I hope. I got up and all the kids are still asleep, then grab hold of my laptop on bed and start chatting with some friends and husband on skype. Later the kids were up quietly and went to the kitchen where they prepared a nice breakfast and bought it to the room while I was still on bed chatting. So SWEET of them.... as Gabriel was coming with folk and knife, followed by the girls who came with coffee and a plate of nice warm breakfast for me. He sang a Happy Birthday song..

At 9am I got my first sms from few friends in Singapore wishing me Happy Birthday. Carina and Tord who lives here in Spain was one of them who sent me Birthday greeting. Thank you to all my friends out there for remembering my birthday.

My best friends back from school days, Suzanne had her birthday on the 4the January and we both turn 35 this year this month. We both talked for while as we both had the same fate for many years, with so many ups and down, but finally this year both our life changed again for the better. Suzanne husband finally got a work with the company where they first met and my husband got a work with the Sheik when we first met too. It is so amazing surprised that our luck change at the same time. I am also very happy for her as she have been through many ups and down all those years after her marriage when her husband lost his job. We both kind of having the same fate and got our luck back at the same time this year. Congratulation Suzanne. I am extremely happy for you.

My parents are happy for us as we are being blessed and our family will be back again together. I am sure my parents will come and visit us in the middle east very soon when we settled down. They are the most wonderful parents anyone could ever had as they are always there to support us whenever we need help throughout these years.

I am sure there will be more update this month. AND yes there will be internet connection in the compound.... YIPPIE...
