Salon in Stockholm Hår 3000

Never been to a hair salon for the last few years. I remember when I was young in my early 20s, I went to a hair salon every 2 days to wash and blow dry and also once a month to trim or cut, doing hair treatment, perm or colouring. Then as I get older, with tonnes of white hair, I gave up going to a salon. I don't know why but I am so lazy to maintained my hair anymore. I just kept long, colour myself once every few months.

Then I came back to Stockholm for a visit this summer. This time my daughter booked me into her school for a haircut last week. Her teacher told me that they don't charge mothers. So I get a free haircut in her school. Then this week, she booked me again to her work salon for a hair colouring. I am so pampered. Usually for staff working there, they will be charging for the amount of hair colour that are used but this time her boss said he will not charge for her mother. So I get another free service in her work salon.

I have two different colour on my hair as my original hair have grown from the roots about 7 cm. So the first step, she did a hair colour for the outgrown hair from the roots to match the lower colour.

Then after 20 mins under the heat, she wash and blow dry. The second step was to do highlight with an aluminium folio. this took the longest time. As it is too detail work with a small strand of hair being pick up in every one cm. After whole head are done. Wash again and then she applied more hair lotion again which will help to maintained the colour and be seen clearly. Then my head was wrap in a plastic for another 20 mins before it is wash again and blow dry.

I love the end result, it was well worth sitting for 6 hours but I can never do it often as I am so fidgeting when I am asked to sit so long. My next step when she have learnt to cut short, I am ready for a really short hair called the Posh bob.

Short hairstyle for 2015

Every since my daughter took her hairdresser course, she has been successfully doing my hair which I really appreciate it very much. It has been years since I actually care about going to a salon to cut or coloured my hair. I usually trim or colour the hair myself for the past few years.

After I get back to Sweden this summer, she had booked time for me to go to her school where she took her course and have my hair nicely trimmed to the short length I have always wanted to.

This is where the classroom where the course is conducted every day. It is is Nacka, Sweden. Very nice classroom and very well equipt. Recommended anyone who wanted to take up the hairstyling course to apply there. Some days, they had mannequin  head to work with and someday they will bring in a model who will come in to work on the hairstyle. So that day it was me, she had to work with.

I have requested for a short bob hairstyle. Her teacher a young and cool trendy lady was guiding her throughout the way of how it is supposed to be done. She is lucky to have such a nice teacher.

I really like the end result. It is simple, short and so much easy to handle now. Before I had a long hair for several years and I felt that the changes made me feel fresh and different.

The 3rd time of cutting shorter in one month. I take stages to cut my hair short this time round. The 4th time of trimming more will be in 2 weeks, even shorter :)

It is quite a lot of hair has been cut away but I am very happy. Next Monday I will go into her work salon where she works every day after her school to have my hair coloured by her. Cool, when my daughter can now do my hair and the best part is, everyone have to pay for the service or products used but I get it for free as I am her mother and mother don't pay. It is such a privilege.

Smart Shoe Laces

My brother sent me a very smart shoe laces which he had bought it for his son.

I know personally my son can tie his own shoe lace but at time he still had trouble with it when he had to rush out to play, leaving it dangling and dragging laces. 

Its easy, its simple and of course it's very practical especially for children.

Unfortunately right now during the Autumn and close to winter seasons, kids are using different types of shoes here totally. There aren't any shoe laces on their shoes now. Most children's are using high rubber boots or thick high boots now.

20 Winter Trends That Look Good.

I was going through the internet goggling for the winter design and saw a site with video who shows model for the fashion for 2012. It is mixed and blended and in fact pretty simple. I am sure most people would have these types of clothing in your wardrobe for this winter. As a matter of facts it does not seems to look that spectacular.
I also realized that shopping on the internet can be much cheaper than buying in shops. My daughter bought few clothing over the internet and she paid pretty good reasonable prices for the clothes she ordered online. Internet shopping have increased drastically during the past years and most sites offer free freight.

Fiberwig Mascara

I love Fiberwig Mascara. Have tried many dozens of different brands but so far I have repeated buying the same brand after it finished.

Another neckless completed.

I did another necklace yesterday. I had those pearls laying around for such a long time and decided to combined it with a mixed of white and silver pearl along with silver chain on the back.


I just need to get the 2 silver crafted chain which cost 15 sek each and it done.

This took me probably maximum 45 minutes to make one ready from stretch.

The Pearl Shop here in Sweden has fantastic collection on any accessories you wanted to design for yourself and they are not expensive at all.

I just love this classic but somehow simple design.

I finally did it.

Its been months since I last sat down to do my own accessories. Thought that it would be nice to do some new accessories to work, so I find time while watching TV to create a simple 3 layers of Grey small tiny beads of neckless.

It is a very tedious work as not only the beads are small but the hole are very tiny and it took a lot of time to put each bead through. 

Permanent Eye Lashes Extension in Stockholm

Elrener, Anna and myself decided to do our eye lashes extension as we are tired of applying mascara each time we need to go out.
We called many beauty salon here in Stockholm but they are fully booked till the end of July and I finally found a beauty salon which can take us a day after at 15.00 hrs and even it is a little long distance, we decided to confirmed the booking and took a train down.
It took us an hr for each of us to do both eyes. Painless and we do not need to apply mascara after. It was nice and we were very satisfied after.

They applied one extension lashes each time to our original lashes and that is why it took a long time.

Simple and easy

Wanted very simple neckless with few blue beads. Then i came out with this ones.

My Sandles

Vel bought herself a pair of sandles for the summer and unfortunately it was slightly to big for her and I decided to take over and give a little touch of adding my little accessories to it. It may take some times to fix the details but it'd done in few hrs.

My lastest design

Here are my lastest design on bracelets.

I am an immature designer (I couldn't call my self a designer at least not for now at all) for, this so called, "costume jewellery".
Beginning I used to buy custom made lock, per meter iron to design my accesories, somehow eventually, I started all by myself. Really interesting!!
I learnt the thickness of steanless steel iron needed to twist and create different looks and purposes.

Here are my few humble made design which is gonna be worn by me.



See the different colours and sizes of pearls, stones uses in this bracelet to creates the, "immortality of immature Designer", I just love it. "Wink"


Honestly, I start with this little one from stretch. Bought the meters after meters in a roll of iron (which is much cheaper), then I cut it, twisted it and pressed it. Somehow it ended up with this.
Surprisingly, Peter says, he love this among all!!!!

Poor him..... for he have to be caught in between "women thing" and make a fast decision.
Somehow he did honestly told me; the first thing when I showed him. This is nice and this was the best that I have designed and created all along" and the respond was, "wow..... this was the best I have seen".



Focus on the lock of the bracelet ok and not on that old crumpling hand. hahahaha!!!!


This was made from my recycled neckless pearls before. Tired of it... and somehow it's a refresh whole new look now.

My Past Time

Just only recently eversince I moved back to Sweden, I picked up a pretty simple hobby. Actually, previously, few years back I did gather my old accessories and totally make them look new again.
Somehow this is different. I went to Pearl shop here in Stockholm and started creating my own earings, neckless and head band.
I mixed and match with my own taste and feeling. I love the different colours of stone combination with all sorts of design you would want to use to make on your own creativity.

Below are few earings, neckless and also head band which has been completed couple of weeks ago. I am still on my next casual looking neckless and probably more earings.

Good friends are hard to come by

Two days ago a friend of us, Raed came and gave me the whole set of Dead Sea Cosmetic and Beauty Products. I was so surprised when I open up the box. It is not only 2 or 3 different product but plenty of them altogether. He has asked his brother from Jordan to buy the whole set of Dead Sea product and sent the package here to Egypt.




Before Raed, another friend Gianni and Sarah who just came back from Italy 2 weeks ago also bought me a very nice beautiful book of Venice. He is convincing that we will go Venice together someday.



I kind of getting my Christmas present much earlier this year. Thank you guys...
