Snowing just the right time.

It was snowing so much today that everything surround you became white. The Christmas atmosphere with the white snow makes people feel very happy.

On the top of the photos where it looks like a long bridge is actually a very nice restaurant inside called Gondolen. I was amazed when I first walked inside few years ago and discovered the long classy restaurant and bars with amazing view of Stockholm city.

My Winter Jacket.

I bought myself a new winter Jacket from Esprit on Sunday. I have left my similar thickness jacket in Singapore when I went back in February and thought I would be coming back in the summer so I could take it back but somehow I did not manage to travel back. I have tonnes of other different jacket but I still love the thick type like this one which feels more like a sleeping bag and they are long. It is so nice and warm.


It started snowing quiet heavily on Wednesday last week and I thought be be better to get all the right clothing ready.
Gabriel also had his inner long pants each time he goes out.

Christmas Ski holiday, 2008

The Active Holiday.

The Törnquist family gather together on the 20th December in Åre to 28th December to celebrate Christmas and we went skiing almost together everyday.
It was the first time for Gabriel to ski. As for Ellie and Vel, they had been skiing few years back when we were still living in Sweden. In fact we went skiing once or twice a week before as we lived near a ski slope. We stop when we left Sweden and now we decided to start again. Somehow it has been 6 years since the last time we skies. I thought I would have forgotten but somehow I am very surprised that I still remember how to ski. It is not that good though and little tense with the slippery slope and speed.

Peter taught Gabriel how to stand, slide, bend on his ski. He started on the easiest children slope first and when he could take the ski lift himself, Peter took him onto a slightly steeper slope. He get the grasp of it slowly.
Since farmor (grandmother) was also skiing with her grandchildren. Ellie, Vel and her ski together. They even had couple of race down the slope together.

In fact, I love the healthy lifestyle we had those couple of days there, when we woke up in the morning, had breakfast together and started putting on our ski clothes and there we go.

Winter in Ireland

We were out on Sunday 12th March to Bray and we had a very long walk, throwing the stone at the beach, running around playing with Gabriel, drive on the mountain,stops and have a coffee break. It was very cold and windy but it was a very relaxing day to spent with the family. Just got tired of walking around shopping and being in the crowed places.
