Permanent Eye Lashes Extension in Stockholm

Elrener, Anna and myself decided to do our eye lashes extension as we are tired of applying mascara each time we need to go out.
We called many beauty salon here in Stockholm but they are fully booked till the end of July and I finally found a beauty salon which can take us a day after at 15.00 hrs and even it is a little long distance, we decided to confirmed the booking and took a train down.
It took us an hr for each of us to do both eyes. Painless and we do not need to apply mascara after. It was nice and we were very satisfied after.

They applied one extension lashes each time to our original lashes and that is why it took a long time.

Our Final Farewell to AnneLie in Uppenbarelsekyrkan i Saltsjöbaden

I have never been to a funeral here in Sweden before and Magnus had made such a nice beautiful memorable funeral for his late wife yesterday. I heard lots of people commented after such a pleasant memories combined with mixed touching feeling will somehow remain with them forever.
I was very moved and touch by the whole ceremony.
Annelie left behind her husband, Magnus and 2 teenage boys, Jacob and David.

Since it was such a nice sunny weather, the ceremony was held outside the church. Magnus have made arrangement for a singer and a pianist to sang AnneLie's favorite song. In between the speech and preaching from the priest the song were played. It was a real well picked songs for the whole ceremony.
Combination with the wonderful scenery over looking the peaceful calm water, the soft breeze passing by, greenery of the trees during the summer and the soft whistling from the birds surrounding the atmosphere really bring such a perfect combination to the ceremony.

Annelie have several other requests before she left and one of them is that no one bring flowers to her funeral as she would like the money to be donated to the children cancer fund instead. So everyone did as she have requested and bought along a small flower in hand as a last gesture of saying goodbye which were placed on top of the her coffin before we left. We were also requested to be dressed in light colors clothing which normally would be black. So most ladies came with white or lightly colored dress while men came with light beige pants and a white shirt.

After the ceremony ended, we met at Magnus house for a glass of champagne, ate lunch and drank rose wine. All this were also another request by Annelie. She wanted everyone to be happy and not mourning over it. She is well known as a very strong women.
Normally the tradition will be just coffee and some light snack but Annalie want everyone to be served with good proper food. We gave a cheers for AnneLie after Magnus have given a short speech with a glass of champagne.

We and few others left quiet late that night. I joined the other 2 ladies to help cleaned up the place after most of them have left.

May you rest in peace Annelie and you will always be remembered by all your love ones.

The first swimming of the year in Gålö Sweden

Gålö is a nice beach with very long shallow water meters after meters away. Good for the small children to swim without guidance in the water. Especially Gabriel enjoyed rolling himself in the water and running forward and back to us alone.




He just love taking photos and posing lately. Created the laughing atmosphere to the family.



Gabriel came back after his first dip in the sea. Temperature 26 degree in the sun and probably 20 degree in the water.


He went swimming alone and came back to have a small bite of food.

Death of the King Pop Star.

Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009

It was indeed a shocked for everyone to hear the sudden death of Michael Jackson. All those years of stardom and scandal has really kept him in the headline. The real truth of Michael death are yet to be found.

Somehow I have read that the real precise cause of his death will unlikely be detected even with an autopsy.

I remember seeing Michael Jackson first two concert performing in Singapore National Stadium in 29th August in 1993.

May his soul rest in peace.

Officially open again to public.

It has been a while since I kept my blog private until today when my sister in law wrote an email asking why she cannot even open up my blog even after signing in and my dad has been asking her to find out why he cannot read my blog. I know dad follows my blog as and when he has the time. Tried to make it easier for my parents to just be able to go in without signing in.

Here I finally made a simple refresh of the page and open them back to public.

Friends Visit from Egypt on Volvo Ocean Race.

This is Mahmoud's family, a friend of Elrener from Egypt. The family have been to Finland, Talinn and their final stop to Stockholm for 3 days before they fly back home to Egypt. Somehow Mahmoud is not with them in this trip.

Ellie came to me last night asking if Mahmoud could come here for a week to Stockholm before she started her summer work later. Need to have a discussion with Peter.

The Volvo Ocean Race coinside when they are here in Stockholm and we bought them there to see it. Thousands of people came to the port when the sailing boat arrived in Stockholm. 8 months in the sea and travelling to different countries in the world and finally they arrived Stockholm.

We stop for a drink as in one of the restaurant and bar. As usual Gabriel always needs his rest after long walk.


Dinner later that night at TGI Friday.

Peter and Ahmad compete in The Grinding Challenge for the fun of it. I can see them struggling after the colour level gets higher. This is how tough the sailor uses the grinding each time they changes their course accordingly to the wind direction and they do it so fast and quick with the challenge of strong waves.

Midsummer in Skansen, Stockholm

Midsummer eve on the June 19th were surrounded by thousands and thousands of people inside Skansen. Typical swedish celebration where the old or young would gather together and dance around the decorated flower pole as seen below.



Most people will decorate their head with flowers and greenery of the leaves. I found it is so beautiful. Everyone will hold each other hand whether in regards we know each other.There will several layers of big cirle around the flower pole where they go around singing.



The weather on midsummer was not that shinning and warm. We had couple of light rain, windy and dark clouds. Yet it does not stop anyone from enjoying the mid summer. I personally felt cold that day and my fingers was not only freezing but numb for a while.



Some would go around with the very old traditional swedish dresses of blue and yellow which symbolise the swedish flag.
Couldnt get very good shot of the her as I am being squeezed in between all those crowd.



Gabriel was not so keen of the dancing around the pole and asked to leave. We walk to the nearby carousel where he took some rides and played games instead.


He tried the fishing games where he caught 3 ducks of the same colours and won a second price which he chooses the toys below.




One of the toy is just a junk crap that last few mins and it broke.
