Mid Summer in Leksand Darlana 2004

Mid summer is very well known for all Swedish people to celebrate. Most shops are closed, big town turns into a quiet ghost street and people are hardly at home. This is a tradition where you can see all young and old, man and women, girls and boys just happy and dance. They will dance around the pole with hundred and thousand of people around the world that came to celebrate the midsummer. For two years we have been celebrating our midsummer with our very close friend Anders, Sirpa and her family. Leksand is one of the best places to celebrate midsummer. Speeches will be in German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, and Italian and so on

This is the pole. It is decorated with lots of flowers. It takes so many many men to pull this up.
