GoodBye Egypt

YES, we're moving again.

Probably we also had enough of living here, so why not move on since we have the opportunity.

Kids.....emmm very happy when we told them yesterday. At least we are moving back to a country with more sensible people who doesn't drive on the wrong side of the road, who respect women as another person like human being.

Elrener needs to be staying in Stockholm for at least few years to complete her studies. Sames goes to Vel and Gabriel. They need to have strong based foundation of their schooling and not moving around anymore.

I dont know exactly when we will be moving(no specific dates) but won't be too long I hope. Just need to get thing sorted out.

This was indeed spontanous decision. Peter and I sat down for couple of days talking about it and we both agreed. So here we are standing with our ground decision and plan ... happy with every single move that we have to take.

As a matter of fact, yes we move alot during the last few years. Somehow I never regret every single move we made. It was an experience and adventure for all of our family. The kids gets to live and have seen the different culture in different countries.

We been liing years in Singapore but of course as that was where I was born, then many years in different states in Sweden, a little bit more than a year in Ireland, Dublin, exactly a year in Spain and a little bit more than a year in Egypt. I can tell myself that there are really so much difference in all these countries we been living in. Obviously we have been traveling a lot too during those period as a tourist to almost all parts of Europe but as a tourist we dont really get to see the real culture in such a short time.

We will be have a farewell dinner together with friends here in Egypt in few weeks and of course we will also be in El Gouna to celebrate the biggest big 40th birthday party for a good friend Per next week too.

Good friends are hard to come by

Two days ago a friend of us, Raed came and gave me the whole set of Dead Sea Cosmetic and Beauty Products. I was so surprised when I open up the box. It is not only 2 or 3 different product but plenty of them altogether. He has asked his brother from Jordan to buy the whole set of Dead Sea product and sent the package here to Egypt.




Before Raed, another friend Gianni and Sarah who just came back from Italy 2 weeks ago also bought me a very nice beautiful book of Venice. He is convincing that we will go Venice together someday.



I kind of getting my Christmas present much earlier this year. Thank you guys...

Accepted

I'hv been away for a while. Not much time to update my blog as I should. Few good things happened along the way while I was away not updating my blog.

I was in Sweden for 20 days in August, 2008 and came back 2 days before Gabriel and Vel started their new school in 1st September 08.




We finally get rid of the stupid lying ignorant Namer American School at last. They made life for our daughter Elrener a living hell there. The school was not in any IB(International Baccalaureate)program systems which they claim they was when we register her there and Elrener even graduated with high honor was later having difficulties to be accepted in the Uni here for we were also not informed that she was supposed to have 2 years of Americn systems here to be accepted.
She was sexually harass by her Maths teacher in Namer American College which was a nightmare. Peter fought with the principle and the bloody Aimen who also claim he was Dr Aimen which he is not a Dr at all even.
Anway Elrener is going back to Sweden next week as she is accepted now to 3 different choices of schools to take her college degree in Natural Science and Law. It is one of the toughest courses and she has been accepted since she have had very good high GPA scores throughout her years of education.
Also which mean I will lose one daughter here at home in Cairo to sweden now. I am happy for her future but I will miss her for sure.



I will also be travelling to Stockholm again next week with her and Gabriel to get her settle in. Gabriel will take free from school for few weeks. Vel will be home with daddy as she wont be able to take free that long at her level.

Back to schooling for Gabriel and Vel, we have manage to get them out of Namer American College and change both of them to another school instead. The new school which is the American International School has an IB program which we have checked out properly now. The school fees is much more expensive than the one before which is of course as this is a proper international school.



One more thing to add on in this posting, I went through my check up in Sweden to the doctor who have operated me with my cancer once before and yippi!!! I am cancer free.
I have been worried for the pain I had in my stomach for many years and the doctor found the cause of the pain. I have been lactose free since I came back from Stockholm, took my medication regularly which now I have been healthy for weeks with no severe pain or even any minor pain.

I have also started my training in the Marriott Golf and Country Club since we have join the membership there in the summer.



One thing now that I mght be gone again for a long time before I have another posting here as I will be gone again next week to Sweden to settle in with my daughter's schooling for couple of weeks.
