Chicken and Beef Satay

Chicken Satay

The mixture marinate in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours so the ingredients seep into the meat / chicken. Once marinated, may be issued and prick meat / poultry using sticks and burned. Use lemon grass that was crushed to sweep oil mixed with a little milk during baking to get a fragrant aroma. Can be eaten with peanut sauce.

Beef Satay

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs rump steak
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground fennel
finely grated rind of half lemon
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon sugar
4 tablespoons thick coconut milk

Directions:

Cut beef into small cubes, about 2 cm. thick each way.
Trim off excess fat, leaving a thin layer of fat on some of the cubes.
Cut the trimmed-off fat into thin squares.
Combine turmeric, cumin, fennel, lemon rind, salt, sugar and coconut milk in a bowl and stir to dissolve sugar.
Add beef and mix well, cover and leave to marinate for minimum 1 hour or longer.
*The longer it is left, the more the flavors will penetrate the meat.
Thread on bamboo skewers that have been soaked in cold water for a few hours, putting about 5 pieces on the end of each skewer and leaving at least half the skewer uncovered.
Use the squares of fat where necessary, for they keep the meat tender.
Grill over hot coals or in an oven until it is brown on all sides.

Serve immediately.

Trip to London, Kensington

My husband and I were invited to an engagement party in London by a Saudi Sheikh family. We all stayed at Intercontinental Hotel on the VIP Club Floor. Everything is paid for including free flow of champagne, good quality wine and as a matter of fact, any drinks and food throughout our stay there for 5 days  The engagement party was held at Four Season Hotel opposite the hotel where we are staying at.
People were flying in from different parts of the world to be at the engagement party. We all stayed at the VIP Club floor and every day we will meet at the club Floor for social.
Closer to the day of the event, all the Sheikh family started arriving from all different parts of the world. I was shocked to see again that their children's have become so adult and grown up.
Our daily tea time on the VIP Club Floor. We got exclusive serving of food and drinks.
One morning my husband and I decided to take a walk in the street of London and I am so in love with this lively vibrant city.

The start of something good........

It's Monday today again. I woke up at 5:30am as usual. Have had problem sleeping for many weeks now. Thought it will be over but it didn't. Had so much things going around in my head. I wish I could get rid of that thought away... I know if I continue having sleepless night like this, someday I will just collapse, breakdown and fall apart. Decided to go for a run this morning after an early breakfast. It helps me to calm down and get rid of all the thoughts out of my head. I just love running for hrs when I felt down like this. Just came back home again about half an hour ago and was sitting down, listening to music and trying to cool myself down before I start my new day again. Then all the thought came running back into my head. Some are good thought and some are hurting thoughts which I just want to get rid of. My thought, my heart and my feeling does not seems to work well together. I have so many questions inside me which I cannot seems to get an answer that I am hopping for..... Somehow I had a very nice lovely weekend. Was at Claudia and Thomas for a party. They are one of the most loving couple and one of the most sweetest person I have met along in my life. I am glad to have get to know them. Here I am standing beside Thomas and trying to teach him how to fry those spring roll :) He did well until the last few batch which got little burn :)Overall Thomas you are good.
Here is beautiful Claudia. I slept the night at their place and we woke up, prepared breakfast together. Since it was a lovely sunny weather, we decided to have our breakfast outdoor at their terrace. After breakfast, we sat for hrs just talking and laughing away.
I left their place around 2:30 and went back home again to be with my children. That night I prepared Duck for the family. It is one of my family favorite dish. Duck ala' Orange. Its a roast crispy duck with orange sauce. We sat for dinner and ate together and after that I was sitting down working with the sites until my eyes cannot seems to open anymore. I went to bed and slept probably 4 1/2 hrs :( Memories that will always stay with me.... START OF SOMETHING GOOD...
