There is a time when you felt like packing and just go away.
Our life is so base on routine. Our daily routine sometimes bore us. We need a little excitement and slight positive changes at times to stop the routine. Waking up in the morning every day, to prepare breakfast either for yourself or for the family, then getting ready for the same daily routine can be dreadful feeling in the end. I know we have to be thankful for our life as we get the chance to see the light everyday as we open our eyes. Indeed, I am very thankful and glad that I get to see the day and end the night with love from my family.
Somehow it is always nice to have the little extra of waking up by the sound of the beach waves and havig breakfast under the nice warm sun.
Somehow fight prices are not cheap especially when it is during the holiday season. Strangely it is the only time when most people can actually travel away when their children are off from school.
The truth, spontaneous weekend or weekday trip can cost you a fortune.
If you can plan in advance, it can save you hundreds of dollars.
Try booking at least 2 months in advance, flights will be so much cheaper.
When you can avoid flying on Friday and Sunday it will make a lot of difference.
Flying on weekdays such as Tuesday and Wednesday has a number crunch difference than weekend prices.
I just recently checked a direct flight in May for a Business Class ticket for a Norwegian airline, travelling from Stockholm to Thailand cost ONLY 398 British pound. Isn't it amazing?
So next time when try planning your trip. Book months ahead, try taking the kids out of school for few days and discuss with the teachers if long distance studies will be negotiable. OR, for example, the Swedish school in Thailand have especially made for swedish parents who would ike to take few weeks or months off from their routine and can still have their kids registered to that swedish school in Thailand.
I am sure if you prepare yourself and find out the alternative for cheap travel during off peak period, there sure be an option for you.
Good Luck!
