Low and High Tide along River Thames

It is really fascinated to see the water rises so high and in an hr it just went down again slowly. I lived along the River Thames and twice a day the water will rise as high as you see in the images below. 

 This is how the walking pavement along the river Thames would look like when it is low tide. Somehow when it rise, no one can actually walk through.

This is how it looks like when the water rises. Pavement will be filled with water and there is no way anyone is passing through.

 This is the step down from where I live and usually I would walk through this gate to go on the pavement to walk by the river.

 Just outside the gate there is this one wooden bench which I love to sit on and watch the canoeing and the sun shining when the weather is nice. Somehow twice a day this wooden bench will be covered with water. 

 I am so fascinated by the flowing of the water in this river that even after more than a year of living along the River Thames, I am still excited each time I see the high tide.
